Replicate Round Up for May 8th, 2015

As we find new articles and resources that talk about Disciple-Making, we are going to collect them and publish them each Friday.

Making Disciples in the Everyday Stuff of Life

I define missional living as being continually-sent disciple-makers who live everyday life with gospel intentionality so we might both show and tell others what worship of Jesus looks like in the everyday stuff of life. It’s not a new program or event. Life is the program, and the everyday is the event. When we see disciple-making as primarily done in classrooms or events, we end up leading others to see following Jesus as a study or a program instead of an all-of-life kind of thing.

Discipleship doesn’t just happen on the mission field. It happens when believers are reproducing themselves in the lives of others.

3 Things Jesus Never Told to Make Disciples

First to the original disciples, and now to us. That’s who is to make disciples. But if we could, let’s think for a second about who this call didn’t go out to. Let’s think about who, or what, was never told to make disciples. Chances are you, like me, have trusted at least one of these other things to do the work Jesus gave to His people:

The key take away here is that you are the disciple-maker.

Don’t Let Strategy Trump the Vision of Discipleship

Smell that? That’s the salt in the air. That’s the vision for the wide-open sea. That’s the imagination arresting vision before us as disciples of Jesus. We are following this One who is above every other, and as we are, we are being made like Him in our obedience.

Give people a vision for making disciples, and you won’t have to beg.

Can you do me a favor? If these ideas resonate with you, would you:
