As we find articles and resources that talk about Disciple-Making, we are going to collect them and publish them each Friday.
The majority of the churches that I consult have had little or no attendance growth in the past ten years. My experience is not that unusual in America. For example, Thom Rainer is just one of many who has said this or something similar, “…Eight out of ten … churches are declining or have plateaued.”1
This brings me to the subject of this blog series: leading change in the church. There is no lack of opportunity to facilitate change, but if change were easy, there wouldn’t be such a desperate need for it. To address this situation, churches need to develop a more effective change-leadership tool bag.
