Family Worship Center Blog:
Stage four is “Remain and Go” found in John 15 and Matthew 28:19-20. In preparation for His departure, Jesus talked to them about the vine and the branches. “Remain in Me and you will bear much fruit. Apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5) He was reinforcing again the importance of maintaining the right relationship with God as well as following His pattern in developing people. He also gave them their assignment, “Go and make disciples” (Matthew 28:18-20). During this stage, Jesus passed on His mission to the disciples and then released them to carry on that mission. They were to carry on the purpose of His Father to reconcile people to God and to each other. The pattern is still effective today. Developing people involves helping people to grow in each of these four stages. The future of the church is in our hands. Are you ready to fulfill your destiny?I’m remind of what David Platt said in this video: The Church is Plan A and there is no Plan B.
