Last week our team had the great privilege of hosting the Replicate Discipleship Blueprint at Long Hollow Baptist Church.   One hundred sixty pastors and leaders attended the conference from a variety of church affiliations and locations.  I’m not quite sure how many states were represented, but I know there were 21 states represented at the Spark Conference that followed.

It was such a great conference!  I had such a good time catching up with old friends as well as getting to meet new friends. I had a great time hearing story after story about how God is moving and at work in churches all around our country. I was amazed at how many pastors who had previously attended a Discipleship Blueprint or other Replicate training event had brought their staff or their entire team of leaders to the event.  As you might imagine, the atmosphere at the conference was electric.

Now more than ever it seems like there’s a movement happening at the local church level towards disciplemaking and training up believers towards maturity.  The attendees at the Discipleship Blueprint conference were engaged, they were all in, and had a strong desire to discover a comprehensive process to move toward being a disciplemaking church.

I was privileged to talk to so many people who not only wanted to see people come to faith in Jesus, but wanted to see them grow in their faith.  They were passionate about evangelism and discipleship!  These two aren’t mutually exclusive, it is possible to do both, and do them for the glory of God’s Kingdom.  As I talked to pastors and lay leaders, I couldn’t help but think of what Paul said in Colossians 1:28-29:

28 We proclaim him, warning and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ. 29 I labor for this, striving with his strength that works powerfully in me.

Paul’s heart, his great desire, was not only to see people come to faith in Jesus Christ, but once they’d come to faith to go on toward maturity.  Placing your faith in Jesus and being baptized isn’t the end goal, but rather it is the starting line of a life lived for our Lord and Savior.

If that’s what you desire, if you have the same heartbeat as Paul, that is to see people come to know Christ, but not only know Him, but grow in maturity in their walk with Him, I want to encourage you to check out our next Discipleship Blueprint in March, 2019. Here’s a link to find out more about it:

I hope to see you there!
