Replicate Round Up for January 29, 2016

Replicate-Roundup-v3.1-300x143As we find articles and resources that talk about Disciple-Making, we are going to collect them and publish them each Friday.

If Jesus said it, why debate it?

Did you catch that? In one of his final conversations, Jesus instructed his disciples to do three things; go make disciples, baptize them, teach them to obey my commands. Part of the mission was to baptize! Would Jesus, in one of his final conversations, instruct his disciples to do something unimportant or unnecessary? Of course not. Jesus made every conversation count, including this one.

What Is Discipleship and How Is It Done?

As far as training Christians how to think and feel and act as a Christian — that is, discipling in the sense of growing them into more and more maturity — that happens in so many ways in the New Testament.

Kelley urges intentional evangelism & disciple-making

“We have to make the Gospel known in order to fulfill the Great Commission, but keeping up with how well the Gospel is known is not the way Jesus gives us to measure progress in fulfilling the Great Commission,” Kelley said. “How do we measure our progress? By making disciples.”
