Spiritual maturity is not an accident; seeking God speaks of intentionality—the believer who desires to know God in a deeper way and strives toward that goal. When Jesus invited disciples to follow Him, it was a call to intentionally seek Him, to know Him, and to live for Him. This involves spending regular time with Him.This is dead on. When people don’t do anything, they don’t get anywhere. Growing your relationship and faith in Christ requires a plan. If you want to lose weight, you start to eat right and exercise. If you want to grow your faith in Christ, you spend more time in the Word, spend more time in prayer, and begin leading others on that same process.
