What does this have to do with discipleship and the sending church? Before disciple-making ever crosses cultures, it begins by instructing believers with an appropriate posture toward Christ and his church. Like Paul, sent ones have the capacity to be “a dynamic and exemplary force” in encouraging their sending churches on mission. Instead, many hold the basic assumption that the church alone sends love, prayer, and resources.
